Congratulations to the Leadership Greater Valley class of 2015! Over the past 8 weeks, the class has toured the Valley and learned a variety of new skills. Now it is time to celebrate! A graduation ceremony will take place on November 12, 2015, starting at 5:30PM, in the private room at Vazzy’sCucina in Shelton. Alumni and the public are invited and encouraged to attend. The Young Emerging Professionals will be hosting the after party over in the bar immediately following the ceremony. Leadership Greater Valley (LGV) combines leadership skill building with community education. During the nine week program, participants get a bird’s-eye view of the issues facing the community, begin developing the leadership skills necessary to assume leadership roles and are exposed to involvement opportunities in the community. Those who participate have a personal opportunity to learn from the leaders of many local organizations and associations. Leadership Greater Valley is unlike other programs because it provides a catalyst for community vision and change – it builds a better tomorrow for all of us. LGV is hosted and managed by The Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce and The Valley United Way. The Young Emerging Professionals (YEP) host regular networking events at local establishments on the second Thursday of the month. Many of the members are alumni of LGV and are excited to help celebrate the current class.
