Some of the ways that they give back to the Valley community include: Each year the Derby-Shelton Rotary Club helps prepare senior citizens for the upcoming winter by delivering buckets of sand for stairs and sidewalks One of the favorite programs at the beginning of every school year is the distribution of dictionaries to every student in grade 3 in Derby and Shelton Schools. This year, Derby-Shelton Rotarians are gearing up to participate in Rotary Day of Service on April 9. Derby-Shelton Rotary has chosen their day of service to honor one of our community essential workers, Echo Hose EMS. As a Civic Organization, they chose to get involved with the Chamber to better understand local businesses, extend their reach and to collaborate with area businesspeople. Be sure to check out our upcoming combo event – Speed Networking, coming up on Thursday, March 24th. |
