Created from calls of concern about substance abuse issues during a community retreat in 1989, the Valley Substance Abuse Action Council (VSAAC) continues to answer. This public/private partnership is a model of cooperation and collaboration. From interactive workshops and presentations, as well as resource materials, curriculums, training programs and referrals, VSAAC helps parents, children and our community at large be aware and prepared to tackle the intrusion alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs in our cities and towns. Through a variety of nationally recognized, award-winning education and prevention programs, VSAAC has engaged the Valley community and now beyond into the Greater New Haven region. Congratulations on 25 years!
