The Young Emerging Professionals (one of our fabulous networking groups) has a great big event coming up and they want everyone to know about it! Back by popular demand, Valley Shakespeare Festival will be putting on a show. “Hamlet: The Bad Quarto” to be exact. This will mark the second ever VSF/YEP Shakespeare in the Bar event, the first one being held in March of 2014. It was such a great event that there was no way it couldn’t have happened again this year! Here is how the event works: YEP members should arrive between 5:30 and 6:00. VSF will be doing an informal “Improv for business” mini lesson. Everyone else can arrive around 6:30. The show will begin at 7:00 and will last a little over an hour. Free pizza will be served and there will be a cash bar. The networking, improv, and show will be held on the second floor of Porky’s Café in Shelton. If you are between the ages of 21 and 40, you have probably heard about the YEPs, whose mission is to connect the young pros in the area, develop skills, and support the community. If you are not already a member, you should consider joining now. Dues are $40 annually and only $30 annually for Chamber members. This and other events are free for YEP members, so make sure your annual dues are paid! Email [email protected] or call Nancie at the Chamber (203) 925-4981 to confirm. ($10 for future members.)This event is open to everyone, not just YEPs. Anyone outside of the 21-40 age range will be able to register with Valley Shakespeare Festival!
